A Himalayan Griffon vulture being released following treatment
A Himalayan Griffon vulture (Gyps himalayensis) under treatment at the Mobile Veterinary Service (MVS) Lower Assam field station, Kokrajhar. Eight vultures were admitted for suspected poisoning.
MVS Lower Assam unit, Kokrajhar, releases a Himalayan Griffon vulture following treatment for suspected poisoning.. Six of the eight admitted vultures were released, while two died.

Animal keepers at MVS Lower Assam field station attend to a lesser adjutant stork (Leptoptilus javanicus) with a metacarpal fracture. The bird was released in Manas after treatment.

Dr Abhijit Bhawal, MVS Upper Assam veterinarian attends to a captive elephant. General health examination and deworming of Forest Department elephants was carried out.

A black kite (Milvus migrans) under treatment at the MVS Lower Assam field station, Kokrajhar. The bird was released in Choraikhola. Dr Abhijit Bhawal, MVS Upper Assam veterinarian examines one of the three Asiatic black bears (Ursus thibetanus) undergoing rehabilitation in Pakke Tiger Reserve, Arunachal Pradesh.
